Leadership skills, a comprehensive knowledge of the community, and her passion for photography are skills that help Jamie Ison achieve success as a realtor. Jamie has partnered with Stella Jackson, a veteran realtor, since she began her real estate career in 2009. Jamie volunteers as the Federal Realtor Coordinator for Congressman Bradley Byrne. A graduate from the University of Mississippi with a Master’s of Communication Disorders, Jamie moved to Mobile in 1977. Following a 25 year career serving the deaf and blind, Jamie was elected to the Alabama House of Representative in 2002 and served until 2014. She is a graduate of Leadership Mobile and Leadership Alabama, Past President and current member of Mobile Sunrise Rotary Club, and past member of the Board of Directors of the Mobile Area Chamber of Commerce. She currently serves on the Board of Directors of the USA Health Services Foundation, the Mobile Judicial Commission, and the Leadership Council for the Mitchell-Moulton Scholarship Fund. In 2005, Jamie summited Mt. Kilimanjaro with a team led by Erik Weihenmayer, the world renowned blind mountain climber, author and adventurer. Jamie’s favorite hobby is photography. Her husband, Jay Ison, is a partner at Thames Batre Insurance. Jamie and Jay have two sons, Philip who lives in Birmingham and Wyatt, who lives in Jackson Hole.
